Why Use a VPN At Home? 🤔
How's it going, everybody? Welcome back. And why would you use a VPN? What are some of the best reasons to use a VPN? Now, of course, if you're new to VPN, you might have a question like that, and I'm gonna try to answer it. And I'm going to try to make this video as short as possible. So now, I have this article right here, which highlights some of the best reasons to hear by ExpressVPN. It's a great article. So we have you know about six reasons to use here. I'm going to add one more to them. And then we'll start with that. So let's say if you're an activist, if you're a journalist, if you're a whistleblower, anything like that you should be using a VPN especially if you're a whistleblower in one of those censorship heavy countries, or, you know, those with very just harsh rules with with online activity and stuff maybe like China, Turkey, the UAE, you know, if you're trying to publish some kind of article that the government might not like, and or perhaps it might get you in trouble in one way or another or get you find or something like that, you should use a VPN, and you should not compromise on security or try to save money with by getting a cheaper VPN, just go straight to express VPN, which is the best in terms of security. You know, there was a, there was a case in Turkey in 2017, where the Russian ambassador was assassinated. And allegedly, it seems like the assassin assassin used Express VPN, to exchange emails over Gmail and such. And when the Turkish government actually force forcefully seize the one of the servers of ExpressVPN, they were just simply not able to extract any information, be it because everything was very much encrypted, or there were no logs possible, there were no logs to be extracted, that were there. And that's probably the case. Because when it comes to criminal activity, whatever the VPN is, whatever the policy or no logs policy is, whatever their privacy policy is, if they're going to cooperate to catch criminals. But in this case, there were no logs in the first place. And so ExpressVPN, were not able to help. So yeah, and in terms of encryption and security system, they have some of the most sophisticated ones out there. So yeah, if you're in one of those countries, if you're a whistleblower, journalist, activist, just use Express VPN, do not try to compromise on security in order to save just, you know, a few bucks a year. So yeah, just that that would be my recommendation. So less intense reasons to use a VPN would be of course, while traveling, and while on public Wi Fi, and these are, you know, kind of interconnected, because if you're traveling, you're going to be on public Wi Fi. And definitely another reason would be to never, ever, ever use any sort of application, or perhaps banking or financial applications over on public Wi Fi, you will be compromising your data 100% you'll be compromising them.
